We have planned this Kenya itinerary 7 days, 6 nights safari to introduce you to the countless charms and mysteries of Kenya. It’s breathtaking vistas, the massive diversities of wildlife, the romantic sunsets and sunrises, African wildlife safaris, and so much more. You will also be touring with us, a team of professional guides with more than two decades of experience planning the best Kenya safaris during the 7 day safari Kenya.
Your guide is there to pick you up when your plane lands. Depending on how early you get here, you either directly proceed with our road trip to Amboseli or, for those who are early, visit the Giraffe Centre at an additional cost of USD 30 Per Person. The Giraffe Center is fun and wild, and as unbelievable as it may seem, you get to kiss, pet, and take selfies with the 9-meter-high Rothchild giraffe.
Balmy and serene with countless wildlife and jaw-dropping attractions, the Amboseli National Park was made for nothing other than sheer relaxation. You set out after breakfast when the park is quiet and pristine. Sit and watch silently as sunrise endows Mt. Kilimanjaro with orange and pink hues. Catch the early morning hustle of elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, lions, leopards, dik-dik, gazelles, and hippos as they take advantage of the cold morning temperatures to scavenge. Listen to the rhythmic chirping of birds. And, when the clock strikes midday, sit at a safe spot in the park and enjoy your lunch. Your afternoon game drive on day 2 of your 7 day Kenya safari itinerary begins after lunch. In the afternoon, you explore Amboseli’s different habitats, which range from wetlands to woodlands, dried-up beds of Lake Amboseli, and savannah. The guide also takes you to the observation hill for a bird’s eye view of the park. In the evening, you find a scenic spot in the park and watch silently as the sun dips back into the horizon.
Few things are as magical as the African sunrise. Nothing proves this better than an Amboseli sunrise breakfast. After breakfast, you check out of the resort and commence the 6-hour road trip to lake Naivasha. The road trip will see you make a stopover at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint. From here, you head to the hotel for check-in and take lunch. At around 3 pm, you head to Sanctuary Farm for a horse wildlife safari. Over 400 acres with abundant wildlife and posh guest houses, nothing is fleeting about Lake Naivasha’s Sanctuary Farm. Your exploration of it begins with a horse safari in the late afternoon hours. Voyage around the property and discover the countless dik-dik, hippos, gazelles, wildebeests, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and birdlife scattered around it. Enjoy the green of its landscape, lose yourself in its quietness, and then head back to the hotel.
The Hell’s Gate National Park is a castaway paradise hallmarked by towering cliffs, scrubby volcanoes, gorges, geothermal steams, and rock towers. Bike around its landscape and intricately discover the charms that led to this park being the inspiration behind the Lion King. After spending the better part of the day here, head back to the hotel for lunch and afternoon rest. Those with more energy can head to Lake Naivasha for a boat safari accompanied by a Wildlife Walking safari at Crescent Island. This will cost an additional USD 70 Per Person.
Your day five of the Kenya itinerary 7 days begins with a sumptuous breakfast taken on a deck overlooking the lake or at the resort’s restaurant. After breakfast, you check out of the resort and commence the 7-hour drive to Masai Mara. Once you arrive in the Mara, you check in the hotel and relax for a while as you take lunch. The day is not over since you have a cultural tour at a Maasai village. Here you will learn everything about this community.
With over 90 different wildlife species, 450 bird species, and unmistakably unique landscapes, Masai Mara is the very definition of breathtaking. The morning game drive begins at sunrise, which, surprisingly, is when nature is at its liveliest. Ready for an experience that rouses all the senses; the sighting of wildlife, the chirping of birds, the stench of a decaying carcass, the sadness and adrenaline of witnessing a hunt. Keep those eyes peeled for the big five, dik-dik, wildebeests, hyraxes, foxes, gazelles, black rhinos, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, hippos, zebras, hartebeests; you name it. You take lunch at midday and begin the afternoon game drive an hour later. The Mara is dumbfoundingly beautiful, and this afternoon game drive is proof. We leave no stone unturned from the Mara River to the Oloololo Escarpment. For some reason, Mara’s sunsets are profoundly sad. As the sun dips back into the horizon and the wildlife begins to retreat into hiding, an overwhelming sense of emptiness envelops the park.
We check you out of your resort after breakfast and commence the 7-hour road trip back to Nairobi from Masai Mara. On arrival, we will see you on your flight back home. Those with evening or night flight.
